Answer: 2 years and counting

And the question, for $500 Alex, is: how long does it take for the Harper government to realize anti-terror legislation provisions have lapsed, demonize the opposition as soft on terror, finally propose changes the opposition can agree with, get the bill passed in the Senate but lost in the shuffle in the Commons, hold an election, then ultimately start the clock all over again and re-introduce now previously agreed to legislation?

It's terribly rough legislating up there in Ottawa when you waste so much time and play so many political games...
