2010 Vancouver Olympic torch-relay celebrations across the country are being held primarily in Conservative ridings, according to documents obtained by CTV News.I really don't feel strongly at all about where they run the torch but, you know, it's common sense that it should be fairly occurring so all Canadians, including those in the large cities, can participate in their communities. I'm sure there are a lot of people who will be left wondering why they're being left out. What's happening in Toronto just underscores the point:
Once the torch arrives in the Liberal-dominated Greater Toronto area, the torch won't stop in a single Liberal riding. That should be a neat trick, to see it ringing around Toronto in the 905 areas. What sheer lunacy. It's going to miss Canada's largest city.
And of course, organizers and Gary Lunn protest that this is all perfectly natural. Please.
