Reconsider the gun registry bill in the new session

Yay Toronto Star who get it on the gun registry bill. An editorial today arguing Peter Van Loan's actions in withholding that positive RCMP report on the registry from parliamentarians before the fall vote should be consequential:
When MPs take a final vote on this bill in the new session, they will – belatedly – have the information that the government kept from them before. The 20 Liberals and New Democrats who voted with government MPs on second reading now have every reason to switch sides and defeat this legislation.
This is a big opening and the NDP and Liberals should run with it. Big pressure coming during this session too.
