Why is Bush so confident about Karl Rove?

Bush sounds a little too cocky about and his future in this interview with Texas newspapers, here. What do you think he knows that we don't?

"Karl's got my complete confidence. He's a valuable member of my team," Bush said in his strongest defense yet of Rove, the architect of his presidential campaigns.

He's got that brash confidence that suggests Rove isn't going anywhere. What does this response (that was not included in some of the reports on this interview)suggest:

"Why don't you wait and see what the true facts are?" Bush said on Monday in the roundtable interview.

Sounds to me like someone knows the whole story, the true facts and he's pretty sure of the outcome.

Or is it just me?
